Lucy Hale doesn’t care what guys take into consideration how she appears.
In her March 2020 cowl story for Cosmopolitan, the previous “Fairly Little Liars” actress, 30, known as chopping about eight inches off of her brown hair “essentially the most liberating factor” she’s ever finished, added that she’s stunned by the opinions males appear to have relating to her magnificence look.
“I couldn’t let you know the quantity of occasions when guys have been like, ‘You need to develop your hair out once more. I like lengthy hair,’” she mentioned. “I’m like, ‘I’m not chopping my f—king hair for you.’ I lower my hair for me. And I really feel nice with it this fashion.”
Continued Hale, “Or a lot of fellows don’t like a daring lip colour. I really like a daring lip colour. I don’t care. I don’t care! I actually don’t gown for males in any respect. I gown for me and what I feel is cool.”
The actress declared that she’s proudly single — although she did swipe proper on John Mayer on a secretive movie star courting app — and is concentrated on doing and shopping for issues for herself that make her really feel good.
“I look again and I consider all of the minutes and hours I’ve wasted upset over how I appeared or one thing that was out of my management,” she mentioned. “I want I might get that point again, though it has led me to the place I’m at now.
In total, Lucy has got thirteen tattoos so far, each carrying a different story or meaning. She has “I love you” written in her grandmother’s handwriting on her forearm, a vintage lightbulb on the back of her left arm by famed artist Doctor Woo, and an adorable little elephant tattoo on the inside of her elbow that she picked up during a trip to Cambodia. But of all her ink, there’s a clear standout when it comes to pain: the lowercase “a” on her left index finger.
In a new video interview with Wired, Lucy opened up about her tattoos and she took the chance to spill some deets about her pain tolerance, admitting her little “a” is the most painful tattoo she’s ever gotten. “It’s one of my favorite ones but it actually hurt the most!” Lucy exclaims in the video.
While the tattoo is undoubtedly super cool, it’s understandable why it was so painful. As Lucy tells it, getting the tattoo “hurt the most because it’s right on the bone.”
People who have been following Lucy (or are fans of Pretty Little Liars) probably don’t need the explanation behind this tattoo in particular. But just in case you need to jog your memory, Lucy played a character named Aria Montgomery on PLL. Fans of the show know there’s a whole lot more to explain here, but for now, just know that the cute little “a” on Lucy’s pointer finger is PLL-inspired to the core.
In fact, Lucy actually picked up the tattoo with the rest of the cast back in 2016 after it was announced that the show would be leaving the air. She shared their matching tats on Instagram, writing: “This happened,” adding “We couldn’t not get tattoos to commemorate the show! And obviously on our ‘shh’ finger.”
And all this has us thinking, does that mean we can expect a Katy Keene-themed tattoo at some point? Only time will tell!
