Thursday night (Aug. 26) teen show stars Shenae Grimes (“90210″) and Lucy Hale (“Pretty Little Liars”) were tweeting about being a part of “Scream 4.”

Dimension Films has confirmed to Zap2it that the two lovely ladies are indeed part of the popular horror franchise reboot, due out in April 2011. While we know the girls are making cameos, there are no further details about their roles — as Shenae tweets, “All hush hush but stay tuned.”

Grimes and Hale join a long list of stars involved, including the three survivors of the original trilogy Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, plus franchise newcomers Emma Roberts, Alison Brie, Rory Culkin, Hayden Panettiere, Adam Brody and Mary McDonnell.

When word broke on Wednesday that Kristen Bell & Anna Paquin had joined the cast of “Scream 4,” we all jumped to the conclusion that they’d have the honor of getting slaughtered in the movie’s signature opening scene, a la Drew Barrymore.

But it seems like that death duet might now be a killing quartet as two more young ladies have been snapped around the scary movie’s Michigan set. According to fan pics posted on OhNoTheyDidn’t, “Pretty Little Liars” star Lucy Hale and “90210′s” Shenae Grimes have also snagged roles in the fourquel.

Perhaps we’re heading back to a sorority? Or maybe a big sister/little sister slumber party?

To accommodate the revisions that have pushed the script to 140 pages, filming on “Scream 4″ has been extended two weeks to September 24 — which could also explain why a handful of actresses have been brought in at the last minute.

“Scream 4″ opens April 2011 and I swear to Christ, if they kill off Neve Campbell’s heroine, Sidney Prescott, I am going to stab someone myself.

Ausiello: Aria will still be doing naughty things with her teacher when the soap returns. “The affair with Mr. Fitz is my character’s main storyline, so I assume it will continue and become more complicated,” says Lucy Hale. “It is fun to play, and he’s a hot teacher.” It’s also “nice and illegal,” points out Ian Harding (a.k.a. Mr. Fitz). “I am just glad the actress I play it with is nice and legal in real life. That would be weird and creepy if she wasn’t. And let’s be honest—it’s not like I am 50 or something. I am a pretty young teacher.”
